about Julio Bauzá
Montevideo (Uruguay), 1936
D. in Architecture from the University of Montevideo (Uruguay), he studied Archaeology at the University of Aix (France). He has lived in Ibiza since the seventies. His "Geometrías Cromáticas" (Chromatic Geometries) are the plastic concretion of his broad artistic background, situated between minimal art and concrete art, and are the result of the evolution experienced throughout his long career, in which he has held numerous exhibitions. A continuous search for pregnancy through geometry and colour, which becomes synaesthesia thanks to the rhythm he confers to his works by means of a very sophisticated use of chromatic variations. He has participated in many national and international contemporary art fairs.
