João Noutel is one of the artists of the anamnesis project, international digital platform of contemporary Portuguese Art. He is represented in several private collections in Portugal, Spain, Germany, Belgium, Dubai, USA, Greece and India, exhibiting regularly since 2002. He tries to deconstruct through a clean and rigorous language, with a strong visual impact, possible limits of the graphics power of the painting. He received the Abel Manta Painting Prize in 2015. He has participated in several solo exhibitions with “Dare you” with the Apart Gallery, Oporto (2017), or “Legend” with JR Gallery, Berlin (2016) and group exhibitions with Art Lounge. His artworks are in many collections, including the Abel Manta Museum of Modern Art or the António Prates Foundation.
