Gammanzi (b.1995) is a Korean artist based in Seoul. Paints caricatural childlike figures ("Forms of memories and emotions"), captured in the traditional Korean mediums of ink and colla painting, showing a tender curiosity and wistful nostalgia towards the artist’s own family memories. She has participated in numerous national exhibitions and national / international Artfair. Among her awards: 8th Ujung Art Center Young Artist Contest (Ujung Art Center, Seoul), Breeze Art Fair, NEW Artist Prize (Nodeulsum, Seoul), 35th Mudung Art Contest, Participation prize, (Gwangju Biennale), Korean Woman’s Art Contest, Bronze (Korea Gallery, Seoul), Modern Korea Printing Society, Lee Sang Wook Prize, (HOMA, Seoul)
