Art Madrid'24 – Elisa Grezzani
Elisa Grezzani
Bressanone, (Italia), 1986
Elisa Grezzani studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino, Italy. As the basis of her artwork, she uses wood and paper, adding layers of resin and fluid colours that drip all over the pictorial surface. Elisa usually works simultaneously on fifteen to twenty works, this procedure allows her to maintain a certain psychic distance from her creations. Elisa's works become open systems, interpretable and pleasurable from multiple points of view and have different levels of reading, which intertwine the border between harmony and dissonance, abstraction and concreteness. A fine balance reigns in the final combination of forms, colours and matter. The numerous layers of paint give the works an individual dynamic, and the bursts of colour strike the viewer emotionally and physically. He lives and works in South Tyrol and exhibits in Italy and other countries.
