Isabel Torres is a Portuguese artist trained at the Escola de Artes Decorativas António Arroio in Lisbon, with additional studies at the Academia da Grande Chaumière in Paris and the Arco Photography Course in Lisbon.
Since 1985, he has had numerous solo exhibitions in venues such as Casa d'Arte (Lisbon), Instituto Camões (Cape Verde), Museu de Arte Contemporânea do Forte de S. Tiago (Madeira) and Fundação Eng. António de Almeida (Porto). He has also participated in major group exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, including the Fondation Orient (Macau) and Galerie AB (Paris).
Her work is represented in important collections, such as those of Fundação Joe Berardo, Banco de Portugal and Sociedade Estoril Sol, as well as private collections in Portugal and abroad. Isabel Torres has also designed covers and illustrations, and her work has been featured in publications such as Margarida Botelho's 75 Artistas em Portugal and Fernando Pamplona's Dicionário de Pintura e Escultura Portuguesa.
