Art Madrid'24 – Rosa Torres – Árboles (2022)
about Rosa Torres
Valencia, 1948
Rosa Torres studied Fine Arts at the School of San Carlos. She has made about fifty individual exhibitions. The series work is the constant that Rosa Torres has maintained throughout her work, begun in the early years from the seventies. The key to her method of work is to make the image more and more subtle and resounding while maintaining sufficient representation capacity for the viewer to identify it and participate in the emotion that originated it. We can find part of her work in the Modern Art of Madrid, Valencian Institute of Modern Art of Valencia, Albertina Museum in Vienna, Antonio Pérez Foundation of Cuenca and in private collections: Department of Public Works of Valencia, Chase Manhattan Bank, Bank of Valencia, La Caixa (Barcelona), Bancaja (Valencia), Community of Madrid, National Library, Duquesa de Alba Collection, etc.
