Art Madrid'24 – Toya García Senra

Toya García Senra

Vigo, 1955

Through her characteristic oneirism with a naïf accent and the strong playful explosion of colour inherent to her plastic universe, Toya García Senra invites us to daydream and to enter worlds far from reality where everything is possible and the complex seems to become easy or fortuitous. On a technical level, the resin finish and the inverse painting on methacrylate stand out, and demonstrate her virtuosity and originality.

A graduate in Fine Arts from the renowned San Fernando School of Fine Arts in Madrid, as well as working with leading Galician galleries, she has exhibited in international venues such as The Brick Lane Gallery in London, the Bank of Austria in Vienna and the Artist's Open Studios Armony Arts Week in New York. It is worth mentioning his participation in contemporary art fairs such as Art Vilnius (Lithuania), Art Madrid or Saco (Seville). His work is part of prestigious public and private institutions, and his intervention for the impressive Primark Gran Vía shop in Madrid stands out.
