Art Madrid'24 – Sossio
Sossio
Nápoles, 1954
Sossio, a prominent Italian artist, began his artistic journey at the Liceo Artistico in Naples from 1968 to 1972, mentored by celebrated painters like Domenico Spinosa and Armando De Stefano. Immersed in Naples' cultural renewal, he held solo exhibitions between 1976 and 1978. Relocating to Tuscany in 1980, he embraced an abstract style, exploring color and form influenced by Elio D'Anna’s philosophical insights.
In 1998, Sossio exhibited at the Italian Academy of Arts in London, with repeat showcases in 2001 and 2006. Collaborating with Aria Art Gallery since 2007, his works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions across London, Istanbul, and Florence, and in numerous art fairs. His signature style, free of constraints, captures the 'Absence of Time.'
Sossio's works are cherished by collectors worldwide, including Gordon Bethune, Donald Trump, and prestigious institutions like the European School of Economics and Mo.C.a. Museum. His art seamlessly merges timeless themes with contemporary expression.
