Juan Adrio's works are the result of a way of understanding photography that focuses on the interest of gazes and the technical possibilities of photographic processes and materials. With a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Pontevedra and a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, he has participated in various solo and group exhibitions such as the Festival Off PhotoEspaña, Compostela Foto in Santiago de Compostela, Conciencia2 at the Ministry of Public Works in Madrid and the XV Mostra MAC Fundacion Naturgy at the MAC Museum in A Coruña. He has received awards from the Enaire Foundation and the Aena Foundation for Photography, among others, and has participated in many national and international contemporary art fairs.
