The German painter Jan Schüler studied Communications Design at the Technical College in Mainz and in Düsseldorf, later he has graduated in Fine Arts. Schüler is one of the most representative artists of the new European figuration. His portraits allow us to enter scenes of everyday life, where the characters question us with the look. However, the landscapes of this artist are more austere and transmit serenity. He has been awarded the First Visual Arts Prize of Düsseldorf in 1996 and in 2010 he received the Miraculum Lucis Award.
