London-based artist Charlotte Baqai, known as Karaya. Began painting in 2021. Using acrylics and inks, her work has evolved alongside her journey of self-discovery and spirituality. Starting with colors and emotions, Charlotte allows her intuitive process to guide her, transforming heaviness into light and darkness into vibrant energy on the canvas. Charlotte has exhibited her work in Southend, London, Rome, Barcelona, and at the 60th Biennale di Venezia. She also shares her creative process through social media. Originally trained as a medical doctor, Charlotte now balances her artistic career with being a Reiki Master therefore she uses her finger tips instead of brushes, techniques that deeply nourish her soul.
