Art Madrid'24 – Anna Gilhermina
Anna Gilhermina
Brasil, 1980
With an eye towards nature, Anna Guilhermina dissects landscapes in visual and material layers. The idea of montage in her work guides experiments beyond the digital universe, different objects and impressions overlap in order to compose a new scenario. Elements such as wood, copper, acrylic and glass conceptually compose a direct dialogue between matter and figuration, presenting itself as a support, sometimes as an intervention. Within such research, fragmentation becomes an object of reflection in the production of images, from rotations and overlays the artist creates impossible, unreal scenarios or places, proposing games of recognition and unknown amid the various interpretations that cross the work. Easily habitable, these spaces move between dream and reality, weaving, through different routes, the conceptual line that guides the artist's work.
