Art Madrid'24 – Alba Lorente
Alba Lorente
Zaragoza, 1994
Alba Lorente (Zaragoza, 1994), originally from Zaragoza, lives and works in Madrid while maintaining strong ties to her hometown.
She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Zaragoza, a Master's in Interdisciplinary Artistic Production from the University of Granada, and a PhD in Fine Arts from the University of the Basque Country.
Her exhibition career continues to grow alongside notable recognitions, such as the residency at Casa de Velázquez and being named Best Aragonese Artist in 2023 by the Aragonese Association of Art Critics.
Alba's work is deeply personal, and her creative process is singular, characterized by constructing through deconstruction. Her work can be seen as regenerative, always using white and Chinese ink, though she has recently begun to experiment with color in a subtle way.
