Joël Person was born in 1962 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. A painter and draughtsman, his compositions combine almost classical purity of line with a rare intensity of expression. He has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in France and China. In September 2022, his first monograph was published by Les Cahiers Dessinés: Et il n’est plus de place alors pour la peur.
