INTIMATE SPACES
SPECIAL PHOTO
Art has often served to represent the existentialist dichotomy that approaches the individual, using the freedom of its own language. The absence of expressive limits gives way to a feeling shared by many of us. Understanding our emotional part and, moreover, creating environments to channel it becomes an imperative. For this reason, many creators explore in their work the always imposing challenge of transmitting the nebula of feelings that comes along and defines us. As an invitation to reflect, to withdrawal, to perform an introspective work, the creative proposals builds up an allegorical scenarios to express sensations and emotions. The interior and exterior landscapes become a plastic representation of our innermost self, where serenity, equilibrium, solitude or illusion reign.
Around this topic, we bring together the work of eight contemporary photographers with an intimist and evocative work where spaces take centre stage. Playing with the natural landscape or with interior environments, these artists manage to transmit those sensations difficult to name, and the viewer feels challenged to project on the image his own personality to identify with it and with himself.
