Marta de la Fuente

Mojados, Valladolid, 1991

Marta de La Fuente was born in Mojados, a Castilian village that (almost) nobody knows about. She spent her childhood among bulls, impressionist paintings and endless games of chinchón, sitting on her grandmother's lap. It sounds banal, but his mother confirms that he was drawing before he could walk. She introduced him to painting through her copies of Sorolla and Egon Schiele. Her father, a former art student and architect, passed on to her the basic concepts of anatomy and, above all, the self-taught and non-conformist character that has now led Marta to leave a comfortable and successful career as a designer to focus all her energies and aspirations on painting.

Marta has a degree in product design. Her career has been spent in the world of illustration, digital design and brand development in companies such as Cabify and Lingokids. At the same time, Marta has not stopped painting. In 2020 she held her first exhibition with a collection of paintings that formed the basis of her style. In the last three years she has continued her artistic production of paintings, murals and illustrations, collaborating with Levi's, Bumble, Netflix, Manolo Bakes and the singer Sebastián Yatra, among others.
