Malgosia Jankowska
Sochaczew (Polonia), 1978
Malgosia Jankowska studied painting in Berlin and Warsaw. Her work, carried out with an impeccable technique, transports the viewer to a world where nature and man live in harmony. However, in most of her works that calm that transmits the environment seems to be threatened by the appearance of insects and snakes made on a larger scale. According to the artist, they represent the constant danger that threatens peace, highlighting the fragile balance of our humanity. On the opposite pole, children represent the most innocent and naive part of civilization, hope in a better world. Since 2006 it has been exhibiting its production regularly, mainly in Germany. Among the centres where her work could be seen are the Fredericksburg du Pont Gallery, in Virginia (United States); Kunsthaus Hannover, Wolfram Völcker Fine Art (Berlin), Galerie Maurer (Frankfurt am Main), Kunstverein APEX, Galerie Michael Schultz (Berlin) or Kunstmuseum Bochum.
