Artigasplanas (Joan Artigas Planas) was born in 1960 in Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona). Studies of mural painting and sculpture at the ""Llotja"" School of Art and Design in Barcelona. Graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. He worked as a sculpture teacher at the Pau Gargallo School of Art and Design in Badalona, from 1988 to 2020.

He regularly exhibits in galleries in Spain, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. He has won various sculpture competitions and has public works in Bordeaux (France) and Vilassar de Dalt (Spain)."
