Rut Massó's work focuses on three axes, space, time and light, which she has developed over the years at different levels, both technically and conceptually. She currently works in painting, experimental engravings, photo-collages and works on paper. His canvases are emphatically pictorial. Systematically the chance factor is included in the process, the influence of learned behaviours and ingrained patterns of representation are undermined in favour of unexpected and ever new results. Before being defined, each of Massó's works is given a fair chance to become unpredictable. "The canvas is a space and the way of approaching that space is what has changed over the years. I have inhabited them in many ways. In the latest works, space is the inhabitant, they are condensed landscapes, and their components are the protagonists".
