Art Madrid'24 – Núria Torres
Núria Torres
Barcelona, 1976
Graduated in Engineering, she studied sculpture at the Llotja School of Barcelona, where she discovered her true passion for this art form. She expanded her education and knowledge with both national and international sculptors.
Her work is already part of public collections such as the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum (South Korea), Aveiro Museum (Portugal), Ariana Museum (Geneva, Switzerland), Museu de Arte Contemporaneo Vicente Aguilera Cerni (Castellón), Museo del Disseny (Barcelona), and Fundación Corominas.
Marble, porcelain, and bronze are the mediums she uses for her sculptural proposals, which she has refined over years of dedication and passion, acquiring the expertise needed to tackle a wide variety of projects.
She enjoys using everyday, easily recognizable elements and elevating them to works of art, demonstrating that traditional styles and techniques can be revisited to capture a contemporary aesthetic.
Núria Torres expresses an unconditional love for sculpture and constantly feels the need to explore new forms of representation.
