Art Madrid'25 – Mónica Dixon

Mónica Dixon
New Jersey (EE.UU), 1971
Monica Dixon received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Rutgers University in 1997. The pervasive element in her paintings is her use, understanding and manipulation of light, shadow and space. Her landscapes are drawn from typical American-style farms on vast and flat landscapes, reflecting a strong sense of solitude and strength.
Monica has won many art prizes in Spain and the United States. Her works are found in many public and private collections internationally, including Rutgers University, the Valdepenas Fine Arts Museum in Ciudad Real, Spain; the La Mancha Collection of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla; as well as the town halls of Manzanares, Miguelturra, Cambre, Pola de Siero, Padron and Oviedo.
