The German sculptor Georg Scheele has lived and worked in Monchique (Portugal) since 1990. Scheele's sculptures are complex: peculiar visions of abstract nature that materialize in a solid material, minimalist appearance and, apparently, extreme lightness. Captured by the movement of sculpture and its deep sense of unity, the mind is transported towards a cosmic dimension, a sensory as well as an intellectual experience.
