Art Madrid'24 – Frank González
Frank González
Las Tunas (Cuba), 1989
Graduated from Medium Level in Visual Arts (2008) in his native province and from Restoration and Conservation at the Higher Institute of Art in Havana (2020). In his work, these two careers seem to coexist: art and restoration, since he is interested in rescuing images of an ancient Cuba -practically non-existent- through the painting of urban landscapes. The city is the umbilical cord from which his imaginary feeds. He is part of the team of artists gathered around the workshop of the Cuban sculptor José Villa Soberón, where he carries out casting and finishing works. He has personal exhibitions in Cuba and has participated in national and international collective exhibitions. He lives and works in Havana.
