Alberto Sautúa Fernández

La Habana, (Cuba), 1976

Graduated from the Elementary School of Plastic Arts in Havana (1991) and from the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts, Havana (1995). He took a course in Xylography at the Faculty of Plastic Arts at the Higher Institute of Art (1997). He is a member of UNEAC, a member of the Experimental Graphics Workshop in Havana and the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets. His Works art part of several private collections in Cuba and abroad, and he has exhibited in both personal and group exhibitions in Cuba, United States, Italy, Canada, Spain, Honduras, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Germany. His painting defends a line of work attached to figurative expressionism. In this aspect of figuration he recreates foggy, environments that combine the transparencies that usually accompany his figures a baroque composition and visuality.
