INTERVENTION CYCLE: 20 GRADOS

As part of the Parallel Program, the Tectónica Space will host the Intervention Cycle: 20 Grados. The research by the artists and curators presented in this section focuses on the dialogue between art and urban spaces, using different artistic practices to question the social structure of the cities we inhabit and the way we interact with their architectures and territories. Through these actions, bridges will be built between disciplines and diverse perspectives, expanding the understanding of how art is nourished by the urban fabric and how public space serves as a natural environment for artistic creation. The 20 Grados Intervention Cycle presents the work of 10 key artists in the contemporary art sector in an open, relaxed, and dynamic space.

Nana al Ángel Caído is a work in progress that, through various sculptural, textile, performative, videographic, and sound elements, revisits the myth of the fallen angel from the symbolism of the circle and resilience.

ABOUT PAULA LAFUENTE

Paula Lafuente (Madrid, 1983) is an artist, psychotherapist, and independent researcher. She has held exhibitions and interventions in national spaces such as La Casa Encendida, Art Madrid, and Festival PROYECTOR, as well as in international cities like Mexico City, Oaxaca, Birmingham, and Coimbra. Additionally, she has published and presented works at conferences and academic journals from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and other institutions. She holds a PhD cum laude in Humanities, Art, and Education Research from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, with a thesis on desire in body art. Lafuente is also an expert in various psychotherapeutic disciplines, and she currently works as a psychotherapist and content creator at Beta Vitae.
